what became of the decepticon victory in the alternate universe? were they planning to repeat the victory here, or did they spread out to other strategic locations? we will never know, for that is how cyberspace wound up. perhaps if cyclonus had succeeded in his mission to destroy cybertron and recast the planet into a playground for his lecherous whims, he would have stretched his long-held target in another direction. we’ll never know. but we do know the story does not end here, and neither do we. the seers who lived in the future of the past, the “elders,” they sensed the coming of another being and sent the oracle and a few others to that place. these seers will know the truth of events, and they will tell it to the right person. but will that be you?
and now for the true second part of the story. from the conflict that raged on the renegade’s ship, called the rogue star, every last member of the crew of that vessel was zapped out of cybertron onto a rescue ship, a vessel in the employ of the sentinel division of the transformer defense force, which was in turn commanded by none other than optimus primal himself. the last thing the mysterious primal could have known is that the oracle himself had preceded him to the past.
cobra commander instituted a regime of total war, mass-reprogramming their slaves to upgrade their weapons and armor and the xenotransponder-armed atlantians to become his single-minded killers of autobots and decepticons alike. however, he soon learned to his dismay, that the humans of this world possessed a powerful and incredibly advanced weaponry that far outstripped anything cobra could muster. his new “army”, as it came to be called, was outgunned and outmanned, facing off against their human counterparts and the growing insurgency of an embryonic autobot resistance movement. to make matters worse, he learned that shockwave had left some of his last best toys in this world. in his lab on the surface of atlantis, shockwave thawed megatron, who took advantage of this surprise attack by cobra commander to defeat cobra soldiers and allies alike by his mere presence. his single-mindedness was as great as his will to fight, and cobra found themselves at his mercy. he commenced to rebuild his forces, transforming his interlopers and their army into an even more formidable force.
