1. What is Twittex?
Twittex is an application that gives you a few nice features that other
clients lack. It’s very easy to use. It’s made in Flex and uses SWFL
(swf) so you can distribute it to clients. There are several demos and
many other good features to check out.
2. What does Twittex do?
Your tweets can be customized according to your wishes. You can update
the header bar to include your status, image, website, and anything
else you want to include in your tweets. You can change the font and
background color of your tweets, you can upload your own images into
your tweets, and you can setup an alert for any new twitter user you
know or you can follow. Twittex is also equipped with a desktop
notification feature, so you will be notified when a new twitter user
becomes a favorite on Twitter.
3. Requirements
(a) Flash Player 9 and above.
(b) Adobe AIR (not included).
(c) A computer running on Windows 2000 or later.
(d) A Twitter account.
4. Installation
You will need Adobe AIR installed to install Twittex. To install it, go
to the Adobe AIR installer and download the installation files, or go
to the Twittex download page and download the zipped file

iPhone is going to get the ‘Facebook’ app, or Facebook client. Google will get some Google Talk client, or ‘Google Talk’ client. Twittex gets the ‘Twitter’ client. I don’t want a client, I want to connect with a service that anyone can join.

It has a quicklaunch icon which allows you to create your Twittex menu very quickly and fast! Twittex has the option to enable the TwitBox, in this way you can even post tweets as soon as you tweet 🙂
Besides Twittex, you can use the twitter webapp as well.
It is very easy to customize and it has a clean interface. It is very user friendly.
