We report on the fabrication of a random and ordered bilayer of terahertz metamaterial consisting of an array of split ring resonators (SRRs). The realization of this metamaterial is based on the growth of an array of AlOx on top of a polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) film. The average refractive index of the optically thick AlOx and PMMA is in a range of 2.14-2.18, much higher than that of air, 2.00. By varying the thicknesses of the AlOx/PMMA film, we can fabricate a random and a periodic bilayer of the metamaterial. Terahertz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) is used to measure the transmission spectra of these samples. In addition to the transmission peaks of the array of SRRs, we observe one more transmission peak at the near-infrared frequency in the metamaterial with a random structure. By accurately calculating the transmission spectra of both the random and the periodic bilayers using a Floquet-Bloch model, we observe that there are many discrete transmission peaks in each resonance curve.The present disclosure relates to low drop-out regulators (LDOs), and more particularly to an LDO integrated circuit and method of fabricating the LDO integrated circuit.
