Autodesk Revit
Autodesk’s architectural CAD software, Revit, was among the first to gain momentum in the architectural/construction industry. Revit is positioned as a digital building modeler because it allows a user to create, manage and organize a building or architectural design from concept to completion. Revit’s cloud-based database includes information on site characteristics, architectural drawings, views, materials, and construction-related information such as equipment. Revit, however, does not work in isolation. It works with Autodesk’s AutoCAD and 3ds Max.

Autodesk Remake is a remake of the 2014 film The Lego Movie and it was developed by the same team that developed The Lego Movie. Autodesk Remake was launched on November 1, 2016. Syrian Refugees Appeal for Help

LAWRENCEVILLE, IL — While the refugee crisis in Syria and elsewhere is affecting many around the world, it is of particular concern to Lawrenceville High School (LHS) students who are planning to participate in a mission trip to Syria this October. According to the International Mission Board (IMB), more than 100,000 Syrian refugees are living in Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq. Nearly half of these refugees are children. Approximately 2,300 children are currently being hosted by the IMB.

For the past three years, LHS students have been able to work alongside the IMB as part of a group they call “Immanuel’s Hosts.” The students are in the 10th grade and have had the privilege of participating in missions with refugees who are living in the Middle East.

“We would like to help as many children as possible who need our help now,” said Daniel Meier, a senior at LHS and a member of “Immanuel’s Hosts.”

According to the IMB, the most immediate need is the provision of clean drinking water and sanitation. While a large portion of the refugees are in camps where there is adequate food and shelter, much of the immediate need is for clean water and sanitary toilets.
