in dragon ball super, tenkaichi 3’s operation g, goku has obtained an enhanced form of the power enhancement known as perfection instinct, which in essence grants goku enhanced speed, strength, stamina, and reflexes. this power has allowed him to defeat multiple majin buus at once and challenge super strong opponents like god; when the latter was in dragon ball form, goku’s perfection instinct proved to be just enough to beat him. as a result, the rumor of him being the strongest species in existence has started to spread.

dragon ball super begins by introducing several new characters and a huge amount of new story information and side-stories. within the series, goku’s perfected instinct is given further development in battle as a manifestation of his chakra. goku states that his perfected instinct is not the peak of his power and that the real mastering of the state is found in his fully developed chakra.

dragon ball super introduces goku’s perfected instinct form as ultra instinct, the perfecting of the ultra instinct state within a saiyan and it’s goku’s counterpart as a power-enhanced (and partially defensive) variation of the special move instinct. its name and design was inspired by the saiyan super saiyan blue state that vegeta attained. unlike the super saiyan blue state, ultra instinct is said to be the highest power of the saiyan, with it being able to surpass beerus’s maximum power under certain circumstances, with the latter commenting that goku’s state is the supreme power among the gods.

this game introduces the perfected instinct state to dragon ball xenoverse which lets you add to your character through new super instincts such as the perfected super instinct. the player receives a perfected instinct when they reach the 100 point perfected instinct level in the normal form of the perfected instinct. the player can increase the defense and attack potential of their character by power ups. additional perfected instincts can be obtained by including the dlcs: extra pack 1 and extra pack 2.

this power attack and instinct is the climax to the story arc known as the ascension of goku and was briefly featured in dragon ball super. goku channels his super instinct power into a single full-bodied attack that makes him part man, part super saiyan and part god, becoming a being with the immense power of the gods. no matter how many of his enemies there are, even in a sea of them, goku can instantly defeat them with a single blow.
i finished the game yesterday, and i am more than impressed! i didn’t find the story to be particularly outstanding or groundbreaking, but i definitely liked the characters and the (relative) simplicity of the fighting mechanics. also, it has a surprisingly good time system that gives you more and more ‘energy’ depending on how well you are doing (ie. if you just fought the first boss, you can use your energy to teleport to other rooms in the castle, for example). the camera is sometimes a little shaky and i found the voice acting to be a bit hit or miss, but overall, i think dragon ball z: dead zone is definitely worth your time and money if you’re a fan.
well that was a mistake. played dead zone today and i just got confused. story had me thinking it was a game on the wii or the 360 with 20 minutes of something, and then it became dragon ball z: battle of z (2000). it’s a game where you can play as 20 characters from the entire dragon ball franchise, but only (i think) 3 of them are canon (saleen, goku and zamasu from the anime, the zam one and bacchus). plus it’s chock full of hard game overs. i don’t remember anything of dragonball z: battle of z, or even dragonball z: botton of z. i think this was the last of 2 main ports of the game for the ps1.
