Demux Framework is a Java based Component-based development framework. A component is a Java virtual machine that can be stored in a Jar file and invoked later on from within your project.
Demux Framework is used to set up OSGI bundles and provides a number of functionalities that enhance the development process.
Demux Framework main objective is to simplify component-based development. It includes built-in support for Maven so you can create, deploy and run your component bundles without writing a single line of code.

How it works:
Demux Framework is based on the concept of Bundles. Bundles are containers for JAR files that should be an OSGI bundle (that is, it should be packaged using one of the OSGI frameworks).
Bundles can be deployed on the platform using a Maven plugin. Demux Framework contains a complete set of plugins based on Maven.
A bundle is created on a folder, so any file inside the bundle is directly visible to the Bundles application.
Demux Framework automatically manages the component life cycle. Component status is displayed at all times. You can easily manage them in four different places:
– At the console of the container (using the “Console View” widget).
– In the View menu of the associated Project (Folder or Repository)
– In the Settings of the bundle (which contains settings specific for a given bundle)
– The Files & Resources folders of a bundle.
To create a bundle, just create a folder with the name of the bundle. Once created, you can use the “Create Bundle” option from the “Demux” tab

The present invention relates to a vehicle steering apparatus and, more particularly, to a steering apparatus for a marine vessel.
2. Description of the Related Art
Conventionally, a steering apparatus for a marine vessel is known that includes a shaft of a steering wheel, a pinion shaft, a rack bar, an input pinion and a detent mechanism. The shaft is rotated to thereby move the pinion shaft forward and rearward, resulting in a change in a phase between the pinion shaft and the rack bar. The rotation of the shaft is transmitted to the input pinion via the detent mechanism. Accordingly, the pinion shaft is moved forward and rearward together with a front end of the rack bar. (see, e.g., JP-A-2010-209374).
In the steering apparatus described above, the input pinion is rotated in the same direction as that of a steering angle of the shaft by the rotation of the shaft and is moved forward and rearward together with the rack bar. Therefore, a distance between the pinion shaft and the input pinion is changed depending on the phase between the pinion shaft and the rack bar. Accordingly, a position of the pinion shaft, in relation to the input pinion, changes, i.e., the pinion shaft is not located in a position in which the input pinion and the pinion shaft are coaxially aligned with each other. The demo application is very simple, but it has a lot of plugins, developed in a day. Each plugin is a spring boot application with minimal feature set. All plugins are modules in the same project and deployed as standalone applications.
The demo application provides a simple way of prototyping projects using the Demux Framework. You have at your disposal:
* a common app server allowing integration with the FSG server
* an application server allowing to run the demos in the same framework
* a Web server allowing the demo application to be run in a web browser
Demux framework has no special requirements. It is designed to work with the Java Runtime Environment (JRE), which means that all Demux components can be run on the same environment (desktop or mobile) without any major changes.
The main application server can be used directly as a spring boot application and it can run both on desktop and mobile as standalone applications. The demo application is designed to be embedded into other applications and not only isolated.
