i need to reinstall my windows 7 on my vaio. it was working fine, i opened it to add some drivers. now when i turn it on the screen is blank, its as if the main screen is broken. the only thing i can see is the dvd drive, the power light on the front and the wifi icon. i cannot load windows, the only way i can get it to load is to put it in safe mode. i tried to do a disk check but it freezes every time. i have tried putting in the recovery disk and i can get to the recovery screen, but when i click the restore my computer option it just freezes and goes back to the prompt. any ideas?

i have a sony vaio vgn-z41s. i was using it fine until yesterday, the keyboard stopped working. now when i turn it on, the screen turns on, but the keyboard and mouse are totally unresponsive. it seems like the touchpad is not working either. i am on a really slow internet connection so i cannot post pictures right now but i will try to as soon as i get home. thanks.

i have a sony vaio peg-z60fs. it will not start unless i use safe mode. i have to switch off the machine, remove the battery, remove the ac adapter and plug it in again. then i can run the computer normally. i downloaded a new battery and it still does not work. i suspect the problem is with the motherboard. is there any way i can repair it, or do i have to buy a new motherboard?

i am using sony vaio vgn-nx51gn. i am running windows 7 ultimate. i have attempted to update my driver the following ways: 1. i have gone to device manager and selected the sony vaio vgn-nx51gn device and have opened the update driver wizard. i selected the sony vaio vgn-nx51gn and then clicked next. then clicked on search for updated drivers. this is when i run into trouble, because the sony vaio vgn-nx51gn is not listed in the update driver wizard. i thought the reason i was not able to find the sony vaio vgn-nx51gn in the update driver wizard is because i did not have the windows update component installed. i attempted to install the windows update component but it also failed because the sony vaio vgn-nx51gn is not listed. i tried searching the windows update component in the add/remove programs, but it is not listed in there either. i then clicked on update and repair for microsoft windows and then clicked on the windows update tab and tried to search for the sony vaio vgn-nx51gn in there, but it is not listed. if i left the sony vaio vgn-nx51gn unselected the update component installs but it does not list the sony vaio vgn-nx51gn. if i select the sony vaio vgn-nx51gn the update component does not install. i am unsure what to do at this point. i have a feeling i have to manually install the sony vaio vgn-nx51gn driver but i am at a loss as to how. i would be very grateful if someone could provide some advice.
