The highly-tuned, feature-packed Eiosis E2Deesser allows you to create a wide variety of interesting sibilant textures, from clean, natural sibilants, to slightly metallic, saturated sibilants, to added sibilants textures. Eiosis E2Deesser VST is a classic piece of technology that we think is one of the best and most innovative de-essers available, and the most advanced that we’ve ever released. We think it’s obvious to all audio experts that more advanced de-essers have to have more powerful features to make the user work smarter rather than harder! However, Eiosis De-esser VST needs a lot of CPU resources when you click on the ‘Sibilants’ section. This is why we developed the new Eiosis E2Deesser VST V2. It’s a big step forward from the first Eiosis De-esser. It’s more user-friendly and much more powerful. It still needs a lot of CPU resources, but not as much. We also improved the sibilants section. Now the sibilant section can easily be decoupled from the processing: you can set how much the sibilance gets attenuated with the Amount knob. The e2deesser’s auto-detection does the heavy lifting. Fine controls include Auto, which dynamically adjusts the frequency response of the remaining sibilants, and Smooth, which adds subtle, natural-sounding saturation that tames sibilants’ peakiness, sizzle, crackling, and overall harshness. A dynamic equalizer, time-frequency display, and flexible monitoring round out this plug-in’s feature set.

The new e2deesser (the name remains the same – this is another’reboot’, rather than a ‘v2’, like AirEQ last year) improves on its predecessor in just about every area, but still adheres to the same basic operational principle: the incoming signal is routed to a ‘Voiced’ path until sibilance is detected, whereupon the routing instantly switches to a separate ‘Sibilants’ path for processing, then back.
