As a software reviewer, I tend to search for and test new tools for the software I use. The good news is that @Kill is available for free from the author’s website. The product comes with a simple one-window GUI as well as a minimalistic command line interface. The program offers various command line parameters that enable users to modify its behavior.
One simply needs to enter the process name in the search field, or to list all running programs matching a given query. Upon finding a matching entry, a user can select one or more programs to terminate. The list of programs can be further refined by user’s selections from the available parameters.
Finally, the program can generate a local TXT of the matching programs.
Overall, the utility can effectively terminate programs. One can also generate TXT files of running applications. This procedure can be used to easily feed these into another application. The GUI makes the tool very easy to use.
While it is quite basic, the tool can be a viable options for people who run into issues with slow feedback timers.

More often than not, developers of software that is installed on user’s computers will make mistakes and release product versions that are far from perfect. While normally we will laugh at such sloppiness, there is a good chance that our coworkers at the office will not share our sense of humor.
Fortunately, there is a way to restore the default settings of Windows and other programs. It is called “repair”. Simply start up the Windows Repair Disk, load the main file in the “System” folder, and follow the instructions from there. The command would be:
Repair Your PC
Windows XP
Press OK
and then repair the program
Type “command” and press enter
Type “Repair Your PC” and press enter
Windows Vista
Press “Start” then right click on “Computer” and select “Repair your Computer”
For other versions of Windows:
Press “Start” then select “Control Panel” then “Computer Management”.

Kill is a very simple to use utility that terminates any running process that matches a given query. The program's GUI is remarkably minimalistic and it also works from the command line.

Unlike the similar tool taskkill, Kill only supports terminating active processes.
This means that when users terminate a process, Kill does not create a corresponding list of all the remaining active processes.
By default, Kill only supports searches for running processes with user accounts. To include all processes, you need to use a custom search query.
For example, to include all processes with the username windows, you can use the query '*windows*.'.
Alternatively, one can specify a list of processes to terminate. The actual syntax is the same as for the @Dump command.
If no given search query matches a process, Kill will simply return 0 without terminating it.
For example, if users run the following command: Kill -query '!haslem*.exe' -delete
This is equal to: Kill -query '*haslem*.exe' -delete
Users will be informed that all processes matching their search query have been terminated.
This is the only action Kill performs.
When users specify a search query of '-delete', this implies that Kill will not terminate a process that matches the given search query.
To get a complete list of all matching processes, users can simply omit the query parameter and terminate all the matching processes.
For example, the command 'Kill -query -delete' is equal to: Kill -delete
Users can also terminate only selected processes.
For example, the command 'Kill -query -delete ' will match all processes that have the name haslem.exe and will then terminate it.
When there are more than one match for a given query, Kill will simply return a list of all matching processes.
For example, if users run the following command: Kill -query '*malware*.exe'
Kill will return a list of all matching processes.
To get a list of processes matching a specific process, users can also include the '-pid' parameter.
For example, if users run the following command: Kill -query -pid 1
Kill will return a list of all processes that have process ID 1.
