raspberry pi audio output and capture via jack

I’m trying to make an audio server and a client using the rpi.
The server should send a signal from the mic input to the speaker output (so it’s done with pcm) and the server should also record the audio (pcm) from the speaker.
I was wondering if there is a “good” approach to mix the two throught jack?
If I read the rpi documentation I can actually find the source for uart transmitter/receiver and I can control them with uartcat. So I was thinking of running this code on the rpi and sending audio through serial over a serial port to a PC. The PC would then transmit this audio back to the rpi over a serial port.
The rpi can handle input from serial over rs232 (port rx).
So I was wondering how I could use the rpi audio output to control a uart receiver and then control the rpi uart transmitter?
I would like to hear from people with experience with such a setup before I go and try to mix in my head the recording (from the speaker) with the audio being played back (from the mic).
Currently I’m simply sending from the mic to the speaker by looping on the uart receiver with the rpi until I get a uart error.
If I want to record, I’m simply looping on the rpi transmitter and read serial incoming data on the PC.
But a good way of mixing with rpi audio I have no idea how to find.
Maybe someone with lots of rpi experience can point me in the right direction?
