Psychocat is a challenging platform puzzle-adventure game created by KazuIwaki and the one and only Karisbeth.
It was named an Indie Game of the Year by PCGamesN.com.
Psychocat was created with VR in mind, and just as it was designed with VR in mind, it looks fantastic in VR!
What is Psychocat about?
Psychocat is a 2D top-down, cat-powered platform adventure game.
What makes Psychocat special?
With fast gameplay, vibrant visuals and a control scheme that’s designed to mess with your mind, you’ll need great timing and even better concentration to play Psychocat, or you’ll really find out how many lives a cat has (hint: it’s not 9).
Karisbeth is a former magician and former IT professional who is proud to say he played Psychocat in both VR and non-VR environments simultaneously as he wrote the controls and kept designing the game from the standpoint of VR development.
Inspired by the original Psychocat and the game’s parlor trick, we’ve proudly restored the original story, characters, and gameplay for the PC and the PlayStation 4 with fresh new voice acting, a remastered soundtrack, and pixel-style enhancements!
SURPRISE – If you’re a PS4 gamer, you can now play Psychocat in VR!
In VR, there are no character videos. Everything you need to know is right there on the VR controller.
The virtual controller has a trigger for aiming and climbing into and out of certain puzzles.
Climb onto the trampoline puzzle in the “best place” to figure out what to do. You can continue to climb, or jump and climb up one block.
The jump pad has multiple points of contact and can be used to walk across gaps. Pushing the button will propel you and let the physics take over.

Psychocat: The Answer Game Details
Psychocat belongs to the emotion-themed family of home, and the bulk of its gameplay consists of helping the little cat enter the different states. These are portrayed by symbols on an answer card, and the player color-in each answering symbol by clicking on them with a mouse. As they mouse over the symbols, the state shifts, giving players a preview of the colors that will be used in the next operation.

Psychocat: The Answer is a math puzzle game!
– Besides fantastic graphics and music, which we will certainly talk about later, Psychocat: The Answer has a wonderful gameplay.
Let’s say that there’s an egg on the table. Then, you are given the numbers from the range of 1 to 9 and you need to calculate the number of ways to get the egg on the table from a given range of numbers.
The game rules are simple and they can be described like this:
– Each number in the range is selected only once.
– The number of combinations that you get depends on the numbers from the range, not the total range (1 to 9). The total number of combinations depends only on the total range (1 to 9).
– Each combination of numbers can be generated only once.
– You need to match the number of combinations for the combinations of the same number in the range that you get.
Now, let’s say that you need to use the numbers from the range of 1 to 6. What would you do?
Some people would say “Six ways”. This is correct.
And some people would say “2*6*5*4*3*2*1 = 120 ways”. This is correct.
Do you get it?
Why is that correct?
Because the range of numbers 1 to 6 can be generated in only two ways.
If you get the range of numbers 1 to 6 using numbers 1 to 6, you will get combinations of only four numbers from 1 to 6, thus, you will get 120 combinations of numbers from 1 to 6.
Now, you can use combinations of numbers from 1 to 9 and you will get combinations of nine numbers from 1 to 9, thus, you will get 90 combinations of numbers from 1 to 9.
If you multiply two numbers in a way that you get the sum of 10 (10=1+2), you will get combinations of 10 numbers from 1 to 10, thus, you will get 10 combinations of numbers from 1
to Question #2
by Noodlecake StudiosLast year, I wrote something I called Question #2. At the time, it was entitled The Answer to Question #2. In that post, I simply asked the player, “What would a game be without Question #2?”
Now, with The Waking Night and, arguably, with this release, what we’re doing is giving the player two of those answers, wrapped in one. At the very least, its the FPS version of the RPG fork in the road.
In many ways, The Waking Night and The Graveyard game are both games about the end. When you first start out, you’re on your own. Outside of perhaps a health kit or two, you’re 100% reliant on yourself. While there are occasional NPC’s, you have to guide yourself. But where we take it beyond that, is that some of what you’ll discover is the process of accepting that you’ve “accepted” death. Not just death itself – the knowledge and acknowledgement that you’ve accepted death.
A lot of games, especially on the Xbox, don’t really encourage that. The Waking Night and The Graveyard do. They encourage you to get better at this, while sometimes it can be a bit counter-productive, as your skill is the only thing keeping you alive. Where my game is going – with The Clearing and The Holy Mountain as examples – is that just one of the answers that the game poses is that the player needs to be bled out. It wants the player to both die (as in, accept they have accepted death), and come back much more sure of themselves than they ever were before.
In RPG terms, that’s a big question mark. After you’ve killed, you can’t re-kill. The player becomes much too empowered. Where it was done right, in things like The Weapons of Mythos, a player would come back and the world would be slightly different. In a post-hoc fashion.
Warlock Studios is taking the view that we’d rather you die. Let the world continue and let the player come back in a new but different state of awareness. This will have consequences.
The Waking Night will definitely answer question #2.
Let’s just leave it at that. If you’re
