What’s New in the Reflector.FileDisassembler?

When the Reflector Reflector, Lutz Roeder has announced a new add-in called the Reflector.FileDisassembler. This is a little add-in for Reflector that can be used to dump the decompiler output to files of any Reflector supported language.
This is extremely useful if you are searching for a specific line of code as you can use VS.NET’s “Find in Files” or want to convert a class from one language to another.

The difference between Reflector.FileDisassembler and Reflector.FileDisassembler.NET v2 is the ability to automatically recognize decompiler languages.

Notes

The Reflector.FileDisassembler and Reflector.FileDisassembler.NET v2 is not a project in any way, just a section of code, available in the latest version of the Reflector library.

Similar to the Reflector.FileDisassembler the Reflector.FileDisassembler.NET v2 can output to plain file or to a special SQL Server database. The database is open in the same manner as “Reflector.FileDisassembler “.NET v2 uses the same models as the Reflector.FileDisassembler.

The Reflector.FileDisassembler.NET v2 can also be used in parallel with the Reflector to disassemble up to 100.NET assemblies in one sitting.

When a.NET class or procedure is dumped from the Reflector it is saved in a file with a name based on the file name of the Reflector source file.

When the Reflector is opened the Open command is automatically configured to reflect the type of assembly being analyzed. The list of supported file types can be found in the directory /reflector/language_tools/disassemblers.

This project will not include anything beyond the Reflector.FileDisassembler.NET v2 that can be found in the Reflector 5.0.47.

Reflector.FileDisassembler.NET v2 supports.NET languages that can be dumped by the Reflector.
