Sonic Sex Change Walkthrough

switch over to sonic and sonic sex change from there if you haven’t done so already, and press d-pad left to initiate the transition. note, if you switch and don’t have knuckles at the time, you’ll get a blue screen, and if you don’t have sonic at the time, you’ll miss all but the first 20 seconds of the cutscene. additionally, note that you cannot use the eggplant while in sonic sex change, as that would cause a load to the console. switch over to knuckles just for a moment at the cutscene’s beginning, but be wary of enemies emerging from the water, as you’ll have to switch over to sonic as soon as the cutscene ends. follow knuckles to the water’s end, where the airship awaits.

the ship can be flown in two ways: hover over the controls using the d-pad (default) or by pressing b. either way, take to the airship’s right side if you have sonic at the controls, and take to the left side if you have knuckles at the controls. slowly work your way forward as you rise in altitude, ignoring the laser mechs overhead. be careful not to engage the lasers, as their damage will cause your ship to lose altitude, and will occasionally cause the ship to explode upon striking a target. once you’re high enough, switch over to knuckles and hover near the controls, just above the main compartment and just below the cockpit, taking to the controls in this position. as soon as sonic sex change winds down, switch over to sonic, who will be able to use his stronger speed to reach the surface relatively quickly. once you’ve reached the surface, you’ll have to dash along the surface of the island to avoid the mechs, your first check point will appear, then you’ll be at the big warp!

at the very top of these platforms, you will see a bouncy pad suspended over a huge chasm. jump over to it and bounce up to the platform above, where you will find a captain america-like shield. punch the shield with knuckles to fling your team across a gap to the area below, and then go forward, killing any enemies you come across. at the end of the winding path, you’ll come across a switch on the ground, which you should press.
the next area is a tiny bit of a maze, but the goal is to get to where the final capsule is, and one will be there for the taking if you can make it to the end. the first two areas are okay, but after that you will come across a large left to right moving platform that will kill you on impact. from the point that you deal with said platform you can go over the various ramps to reach the capsule. you’ll need the power of chaos punch for the capsule eventually, but you can use it early on if you want.
the third area has a lot of red robots around, and a lot of spikes. unfortunately, there isn’t a path for you to use to reach the capsule, so you’ll need to use the super speed. (i usually don’t go past this point because i end up dying at the platform) when you hit it, the spikes come down and all of the robots will die. try to keep going as the capsule will be in view to the right. hit the capsule at the highest point, and jump in after you get near the ground.
the fourth area contains what seems to be a fountain, but you’ll have to clear it. there are no real foes here, just numerous spike balls. when you reach the fountain, use the little mac (and as indicated, make sure you have both sonic power and chaos punch) and your block to clear the fountain. once it’s clear, jump in and grab the capsules.
