the church teaches that no human being should be treated in such a way as to cause physical or psychological suffering. in her communications with all men and women of good will, the church proposes to them the path of a life of integrity and truth, in the fullness of truth and love, in love with god and with each other. as is shown by her example and by her church life, let the church be a living witness to the truth and a strong advocate for the rights and the full development of human persons. let all people of good will take heart from the witness of the church. may she continue to help us to know and to love jesus christ, and to grow in the knowledge of the truth about god and his plan of love, as she bears witness to the love of god in this world.
