Alien Speech Torrent Download (AS) is a free, easy-to-use speech-to-text program for Windows that reads the text of any TXT files. To install it, just right-click the file you want to read and select “Open With” then “Alien Speech Free Download.apk”, or drag the file onto the program’s icon on your desktop. Then start a new window and type in the text or file name, then hit the “Read Now” button to let it read the file.

Only One Voice Type, And Poor Editing

When you install Alien Speech, it scans your hard drive for text files to read, and once it finds the first one (there’s a good chance it will find all of them since the standard Windows text-to-speech capability is flawed), it starts reading that file and displays the summary (and reading it). Then as you can see in the screenshots, there’s a “Settings” button at the bottom right corner, click on it to open the Advanced Settings window.

In the Advanced Settings window, you can set all aspects of the voice for the text to speech, including “Pitch”, “Speed”, “Interpret as narrative”, “Interpret as Q&A”, “Interpret as content”, and “Recognized words are highlighted”, as well as change the text size (text is rendered at about 12 points for the text shown in screenshots). Then click the “Read Now” button to hear the read out.

You can also set the text to be read by “other apps” such as iTunes, Firefox, Firefox, Google Search, Google Search, MSN, Outlook, Oracle, or Safari. When you want to read the text, just click the text you want, or select text with the mouse, then click “Read Now” to see the text read out.

The Text File Format

TXT files use a plain text format, and can be opened in most text editors, such as Notepad, WordPad, Textpad, as well as other text editors not listed. They can also be opened in various word processors such as Word, but not in other applications without problems.
